Common Name The Dubious Dendrobium [refers to the species being originally described in the section Dendrocolla in the genus Thrixspermum]

Flower Size 1.2 to 1.6" [3 to 4 cm]

Found in Borneo, Java, Sumatra, Lesser Sunda Islands, Malaysia and the Philippines in peat swamp forests and hill forests at elevations of 100 to 1200 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with clustered, erect to spreading, thinner at the bottom then at the apex, clavate stems and carrying 2 to 4, apical, thinly coriaceous, narrowly elliptic, acute to unequally acuminate, very shortly petiolate base leaves all held in one plane that blooms in the winter, spring, summer and fall on a short, single flowered inflorescence arising on the lower leafless portion of the stem and havew short lived flowers.
