Common Name Bridal Veil Orchid - Pencil Orchid - Ratstail Orchid - Clematis Orchid - Terete-Leafed Dockrillia

Flower Size 1 to 4" [2.5 to 10 cm]

Found in Queensland and New South Wales at elevations of 5 to 800 meters in mangroves and rainforests along stream banks, rivers, lakes or swamps and are pendant, cool to hot growing epiphytes and occasionally as lithophytes. They like high light and regular watering while in growth and a drier winter rest with no fertilizer. They bloom from winter through the end of spring, with the end of spring as the most prolific time on a slender, to 12" [30 cm], often branching, with a few to several flowered raceme with fragrant flowers that arises from near the leaf bases or from the rhizome.
