Common Name The Hooked Dendrobium

Found in South Vietnam, Western Java, Sumatra, Borneo and Sabah in lower montane forests at elevations of 200 to 1400 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with upright zigzag stems that become pendulous carrying many terete, flattened and slightly recurved, bright green leaves that are at right angles to the stems and blooms in the winter on a short, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence that arises from near the apex of the stem and has short-lived, simultaneous flowers. This species needs a 1 to 2 month drier rest from water and fertilizer in the winter to bloom properly
