Common Name The Shaggy Dendrobium [refers to the leaf sheaths]
Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]
Found in the Thailand, Malaysia and Borneo in decaying leaf litter of hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 500 to 1700 meters as a large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an erect, sometimes branching, slender, wiry stem carrying many, linear-lanceolate, ridged, channeled, incurved along the margin, unequally bilobed apically, 2 ranked leaves with spotted and black hair covered leaf sheaths that bloom in the late winter on a short, single flowered inflorescence and carrying pendulous flowers
