Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1200 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to simple, thin, subflexuous, terete stems carrying many, erect-patent, glabrous, narrowly lanceolate-ligulate, subacute leaves that blooms in the early summer on a very short, subsessile, 2 flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are white, closely spotted and dotted with Violet red and there is a white column.
