Dichaea camaridioides Schltr.1920 Photo by © Lourens Grobler

Full Shade Warm Cool

Common Name The Camaridium-Like Dichaea

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found in Colombia, Venezuela and Guyana? in cloud forests and on tepui slopes and summits at elevations of 1200 to 2000 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool, pendant growing epiphyte with a pendulous, papillose-ciliate, densely leafy stem carrying many, pilose, linear, acute, leaves that blooms on an axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence.

At this point this species is very suspect as the only reference with a photo or drawing is the Native Colombian photo and it is not even close and I would tend to belive they are right and not Lourens as the flower should appear to be M camaridii-like.
