Found only in Costa Rica and Panama in moist cloud forests on shady tree trunks at elevations of 300 to 1400 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a pendant, densel leafy stem carrying rectangulr-patent, obtuse, minutely mucronate apically, leaves with a carinate dosal side that blooms in the summer on an axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence
