Found only in Costa Rica and Panama in moist cloud forests on shady tree trunks at elevations of 300 to 1400 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a pendant, densely leafy stem carrying rectangular-patent, obtuse, minutely mucronate apically, closely spaced, somewhat reflexed, ovate to oblong leaves with a carinate dorsal side that blooms in the summer on an axillary, short, .2 to .24" [.5 to .6 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence
