Common Name Morris's Dichaea
Flower Size 1 cm
Found in Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil in wet montane forests at elevations around 1100 to 2000 meters as a miniature to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect to pendant, simple to rarely branched, stiff to flexuous stems completely enveloped by imbricate, leaf bearing sheaths and carrying many, membraneous to subcoriaceous, disitchous, oblong to elliptic-oblong to elliptic, oblique, rounded, subacute to mucronate leaves that blooms in the spring through fall on an axillary, .25 to .4" [8 to 1 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence carrying large for the genus, fleshy flowers.
