Common Name The Muricata-like Dichaea
Flower Size 1.2" [2 cm]
Found in Mexico, Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica at elevations around 1850 meters as a small sized, cool and pendant growing epiphyte with compressed stems completely enveloped by leaf bearing sheaths each carrying a ditichous, alternate, slightly twisted, elliptic, acute to rounded leaves that blooms in the winter on an axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence with a muricate pedicel.
