Common Name The Big Flowered Dipteranthus
Flower Size 3/4" [2 cm]
A miniature epiphytic species found in Brazil at elevations from sealevel to 1000 meters and as such is a cool to warm growing orchid. This plant is best mounted on a plaque to best display it's pendant, densly many flowered, bracted, 5 to 7" [12.5 to 17.5 cm] long inflorescence that is longer than the leaves, occuring in the summer. The flattened, basally overlapped leaves lack pseudobulbs and are arranged in a fan-shape.
