Common Name The Few Flowered Diuris
Flower Size .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm]
The center flower in the photo is D pauciflora and the outer two are D marginata to show floral differences. Found in Western Australia at elevations of sea level to 50 meters in swamps and seepage areas around granite outcrops as a small to medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with 2 to 3, straight leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, 6 to 14" [15 t o35 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence. This species does not require a fire to promote blooming.
