Found in NE New South Wales Australia at elevations of 1100 to 1200 meters on grassy slopes or under eucalypts and in open grasslands and herbfields as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with 3 to 5, tufted, striaght leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, 4 to 16" [40 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescnece
