Found in Ecuador at elevations of 2000 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly linear-ellptical, subacute leaf that blooms in the fall on a erect, successively few flowered, racemose inflorescnece that arises from low on the ramicaul and has a bract near the base and thin floral bracts..
