This species was previously known as Ascocentrum hendersonianum. It is found in Borneo and is a hot growing, minature epiphyte at elevation saround 800 meters in riverine, seasonally swampy forest with a short stem carrying, ligulate to oblanceolate, unequally, obtusely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, to 6" [15 cm] long, densly many [to 40] flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate bracts with showy, fragrant flowers.
