Common Name The Pink-White Eltroplectris

Flower Size 5/8" [1.5 cm]

Found in Costa Rica, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil, at the forest border, in shady places around 900 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing, deciduous leafed terrestrial with 3 to 6, patent to erect-patent, elliptical, acute to rounded and apiculate, deeply canaliculate, glabrous dark green leaves in a basal rosette with white spotting and blooms on a terminal, erect, terete, glabrous, 6" to 16" [15 to 40 cm] long, few to many flowered inflorescence almost completely enveloped by several loose, inflated, acuminate bracts and floral bracts beneath each flower.
