Common Name The Very Bristley Elleanthus [refers to the fringed lip]

Flower Size

Found in Bolivia in montane cloud forests at elevations around 2900 meters as a medium sized, cold growing caespitose epiphyte with erect, terete, dark purple stems carrying plicate, coriaceous, elliptic-lanceolate, attenuate towards the apex, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, strobiliform, several to amny flowerred inflorescence with prominent, red, margins lightly incurved and erose floral bracts and carrying white flowers with a purple anther.
