Found in Costa Rica and Panama in montane cloud forests on mossy tree trunks at elevations of 960 to 3000 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with much branching, stiff stems carrying thin, plicate, lanceolate to elliptic-lanceolate, long acuminate, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on a terminal, .4 to 1.6" [1 t o4 cm] long, flexuous, laxly few flowered inflorescence with ovate, acuminate floral bracts.
