Found in Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina in low forests as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with glabrous, dark green, cylindrical, 4 to 6" pseudopetiolale base leaves that blooms in the fall through early spring on a 16" [40 cm] long, few flowered, erect inflorescence with 6 to 7, lanceolate bracts
