Common Name Capart's Encyclia [French Orchid Enthusiast later 1800's]

Flower Size

Found in Pernambuco state of Brazil and is often cited as a synonym of E osmantha but differs in it's elongated, pyriform, dark green pseudobulbs and it's fall occuring inflorescence of 6 to 10' [180 to 300 cm] long, with up to 90, large, sweetly fragrant flowers with 3 to 5 on each branch set it apart.

It is found in association with Cattleya labiata.
