Common Name Chapada dos Veadeiros Encyclia [A Brazilian Table Mountain]

Found in Goias State, Brazil at elevations of 1000 to 1400 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing lithophyte occuring on rock outcroppings where it is endangered. It blooms in the late winter until spring in nature on a 3 1/2' [100 cm] long, racemose, several to many [7 to 15] flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers and has ovate pseudobulbs with evanescent sheaths carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, smooth, lanceolate leaf.
