Common Name Steinbach's Encyclia [American Collector in Bolivia 1900's]

Flower Size 1.4" [3.6cm]

Found in Bolivia on rocks in open places at elevations around 450 meters as a medium sized, hot growing rupicolus orchid and has ellipsoid to narrowly ellipsoid pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3 apical, rigid, linear leaves and blooms in the late spring and early summer in cultivation in the northern hemisphere on a nodding, 10" [20 cm] long, several flowered, paniculate inflorescence with each branch carrying 6 to 8 flowers.
