Found in Ecuador in wet forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a simple, cane-like, ancipitose, slightly flexuous stems carrying 4 to 6, all along the stem, coriaceous, elliptic, retuse to bilobed, margin entire, dorsally carinate leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a terminal, sessile, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence with much shorter than the ovary, ovate, acute floral bracts and carrying resupinate, simultaneously opening flowers
