Found in Guatemala on the Vulcan de Jumay within the cone at elevations around 1900 to 2000 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with simple, cane-like, terete, erect, straight stems carrying 4 to 5, distichous, articulate, elliptic-lanceolate, acute, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, undetermined inflorescence.
