Common Name The Mt Dempo Epigeneium [A mountain in sounthern Sumatra]

Found in southern Sumatra in lower montane forests at elevations around 1400 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a stout, creeping rhizome enveloped by imbricate, brown cataphyls giving rise to every 1.28 to 1.46" [3.2 to 3.6 cm], ovoid-oblong, 4 sharp angled, sulcate pseudobulbs carrying 2, oblong, shortly bilobed apically with obtuse lobes, 4 major nerveed, shortly narrowing below intothe petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, peduncle 6.72" [17.8 cm] long, provided with 2 sterile bracts, rachis 4.28" [10.7 cm] long, to simultaneously to 11 flowered inflorescence.
