Common Name The Sikijang Epigeneium [A town in northcentral Sumatra]

Found in west Sumatra in lower montane forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a long, creeping rhizome enveloped by imbricate, layered cataphyls giving rise to ovoid to long ovoid, 3 to 4 sharp angled, purplish, sometimes greenish, shiny pseudobulbs carrying 2, conduplicate, oblong, obtuse, shallowly obliquely bilobed apically, 3 to 4 nerved on each side of the midrib, not shiny leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on a longer than the leaves, peduncle 4.56" [11.4 cm] long, provided with 2, tubular to triangular, acute, purplish transluscent sterile bracts, rachis 3.92" [9.8 cm] long, to 5 flowered inflorescence.
