Found in Bahia, Minas Gerias, Espirito Santo, and Sao Paulo states of Brazil at elevations of 500 to 1400 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, canelike, cylindrical, slightly compressed towards the apex stems carrying alternate, narrowly lanceolate, very obtuse leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, shorter than the leaves, 8 to 16" [20 to 40 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence.
