Common Name The Mixed Up Epidendrum

Found in Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua in wet montane forests at elevations of 400 to 2400 meters as a medium to giant sized, warm to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte on sheer rock cliffs with a straight to zigzag main stem carrying lanceolate-ligulate leaves and the secondary and tertiary stems carry smaller ones and blooms in the fall and winter on a terminal, arising on secondary and tertiary stems, arcuate, zigzag, 4 t o8 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers
