Found in Costa Rica, Colombia and Ecuador on trees and fence posts near streams at elevations around 1200 to 1700 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect, cane-like, terete, flexuous stems carrying 3 to 6, ascending, narrowly ovate-elliptic, bilobed, coriaceous, grayish-green leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on a terminal, sub-umbellate, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence that occurs only once and has simultaneously opening flowers
