Common Name The Split Lip Epidendrum

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Colombia and Ecuador at elevations of 900 to 2500 meters as a large to giant sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial orchid with erect, simple to somewhat branching, leafy stems carrying oblong-ligulate, obtuse, coriaceous, narrowing below into the elongate petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, elongate, subcorymbose-abbreviate, racemose, densely many flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts.
