Found in the Andaman Islands as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with thickly ellipsoid, scarred, subcompressed pseudobulb carrying lanceolate, shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later summer through fall on a basal, 3 to 4" [7.5 to 10 cm] long, 2 to 3 flowered inflorescence
