Common Name The Connate Eria [refers to the connate lateral sepals]

Found in Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh state of India in evergreen, subtropical rainforests on tree trunks elevations of 1100 to 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte without a creeping rhizome giving rise arcuate to pendulous, slender green, obliquely noded, leafy apically, arising from the base of the older leafless, becoming erect, more swollen, subcylindric, slightly compressed, subclavate, pseudbulb carrying in youth 4 to 5, sessile, terminal, narrowly elliptic, subfalcate,towards the apex, acuminate, distichus, bifarious, distinctly 5 to 7 nerved, deciduous leaves that blooms in the summer on 1 to 2, axillary to leaf opposed, subsessile, dense, globose to subglobose, proteranthus, many flowered inflorescence with unequal, lowest largest, broadly ovate, acute to suborbicular, obtuse, much longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying fragrant, white flowers with a yellow lip.
