Common Name or Meaning Corner's Eria [English Orchid Collector in East Asia 1800's] - In China Ban Zhu Mao Lan

Found in the eastern Himalayas, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Hainan and Yunnan provinces of China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan,and Vietnam on trees in dense, shady, evergreen, broad-leafed forests and shrubberies on rocky limestone forests at elevations of 800 to 1600 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte, lithophtye or occasional terrestrial with contigious to .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] between each, cylindric pseudobulb and carrying 2 to 3, elliptic-lanceolate to obovate-lanceolate, grayish white papilose, acuminate to long-acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late summer and fall on a subterminal, 2.4 to 8.8" [6 to 22 cm] long, to more than 10 flowered inflorescence with deltoid floral bracts
