Common Name The Cymbidium Like Leaf Ascidieria

Flower Size 1/4" [8mm]

Found in Sumatra and Borneo in montane forests at elevations of 700 to 1950 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epphyte most often very low down on tree trunks with very small, stem-like pseudobulbs hidden within the leaf sheaths and carrying about 5, in two rows, linear, acuminate leaves that blooms in the winter on a much shorter than the leaves, to 12" [30 cm] long, erect, arching to pendant, many flowered inflorescence

This species when out of bloom can be mistaken for Cymbidium aloifolium and is not a typical member of the section Aeridostachya.
