Found in Penninsular Malaysia and Borneo on mangroves and lowland Kerangas forests at elevtions of sea level to 100 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a long creeping fleshy rhizome with 4.8 to 7.2" [12 to 18 cm] between each erect stem carrying 3 to 4, elliptical, distinctly petiolate base leaves that blooms on a on the stem or betweeen the leaves, short inflorescence with large pink bracts at the base
