Found in Myanamar, Thailand and Yunnan province of China in forest margins on tree trunks at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with a tufted, clavate, above the middle conspicuously dilated pseudobulbs carrying [2] three [4], sessile, oblong-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the late winter, early summer and fall on 1 to 2, subterminal, short to .2" [5 mm] long, 1 or 2 flowered inflorescence with persistent, opposite, oblong to ovate, acute floral bracts and carrying fragrant flowers.
