Found in Assam, Myanamar and Thailand with close set, short, very stoutly clavate, silvery green, with longitudinal purple lines, pseudobulbs and enveloped by scarious sheaths and carrying 4 to 5, apical, lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, basally clasping leaves that are absent at blooming which occurs in the winter on a few to several, lateral, sub-corymbose, racemose, few flowered inflorescence
