Common Name The Ball-Carrying Eria [refers to the ball-shaped apex of the lip]

Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Java and Sumatra at elevations around 450 to 1300 meters as a medium szied, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome carrying close set, stem-like, slightly swollen in the middle pseduobulbs carrying to 18, lanceolate, very uneven and obtuse apically, twisted at the base to face one direction, sessile leaves that blooms in the spring on a short, emerging from the still leafy stem, single flowered inflorescence.
