Found in penninsular Malaysia, Java, Sumatra and Sabah Borneo in hill riverine forests at elevations around 500 to 1800 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with about .4" [1 cm] between each ovate-oblong, flattened pseudobulbs enveloped by persistent, lanceoalte, acute sheaths and and carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a terminal, erect, terete, pale green, shortly hairy, to 4.4" [11 cm] long, to 8 to 11 flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate basally, obtuse, glabrous, pale green floral bracts and carrying flowers that do not open widely
