Found in Assam, Laos, Thailand, Myanamar, Vietnam and southern Yunnan China on trees in sparse woods at elevations of 200 to 1500 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with cylindrical pseudobulb carrying to 3, linear, soft, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on a basal, erect, several flowered, pubescent, 2" [5 cm] long inflorescence
