Common Name Vanoverbergh's Eria [Beligian Plant Collector-Philippines 1800's]

Found on Luzon and Mindoro Islands of the Philippines at elevations of 300 to 1500 meters as a giant sized, hot to cool growing epiphtye with very elongate [1 m] pseudobulbs carrying all along the stem, strap shaped, acute, to 10" [25 cm] long, leathery leaves that blooms mostly in the fall and winter on to 6, terminal, many flowered, to 10" [25 cm] long, racemose inflorescence with a very conspicuous, large white bract behind each flower.
