Found in Cape Province, Natal and Transvaal South Africa in bush and tall herbaceus vegetation on forest margins at elevations of 1200 to 3000 meters as a slender, medium to large sized, cold growing terrestrial with a slender stem and a few leaves that are fully developed at blooming, occuring in the late spring and early summer on a 12 to 30" [30 to 75 cm] long, 7 to 25 flowered inflorescence.
