Common Name Nutt's Eulophia

Found in Angola Zambia and Tanzania in in very wet boggy grasslands at elevations around 1400 to 1600 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with subterranean, conical tubers giving rise to 3, erect, very slender, linear, acute, grass-like, present at flowering leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 6.4 to 14" [17 to 35 cm] long, very dense, capitate, few to many flowered inflorescence enveloped by brown, papery, acuminate sheaths.
