Found in Rio de Janiero state of Brazil on low tree trunks and saplings in low light and high humidity at eleavations of 1300 to 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a rosette of 6 to 8 light green, spatulate, shiny, glabrous, faintly keeled leaves that bloom in the summer on a 1" [2.5 cm] long, pendulous, pilose, 15 flowered inflorescence holding the flowers in a sub corymbose group with almost equilateral triangular bracts.
