Found in the Chinese Himalayas, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam on trees in sparse woods or on rocks along ravines at elevations of 800 to 1700 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with basally terete, medianally to apically swollen, rugose pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, linear, apically acute to obtuse, basally narrowing into the clasping base leaf that blooms on a terminal, short, single flowered infloresence with extremely short lived flowers.
