Common Name or Meaning The Hairy Flickingeria [refers to the hairs at the apex of the lip]
Flower Size .8" [2 cm]
Found in Borneo, Sulawesi and the Philippines in low stature hill forests at elevations around 500 to 900 meters as a small to giant sized, warm growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte with erect becoming semi-pendulous with age, 3 to 4 noded pseudobulbs with the new growth arising from the base of the uppermost internode, and carrying a single, apical, ovate, leathery leaf that blooms in the spring, summer and fall on short, single flowered inflorescence arising from the bracts at the junction of the leaf and pseudobulb and carry short-lived flowers
