Common Name The Paraguayan Galeandra

Flower Size 2 to 3" [5 to 7.5 cm]

Found in Brazil and Paraguay in grassy fields with hydromorphic soils [seasonally dry then flooded to very wet] as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect, leafless, 4 to 5" [10 to 12.5 cm] long, 2 to 4 flowered inflorescence with the flowers appearing in the late winter and early spring.

7 to 10 days after tha plant has flowerd it withers and disappears until the next growing season.
