Common Name or Meaning Ball's Gastrodia [South African Orchid Illustrator 1900's]

Flower Size .2 to .28" [5 to 7 mm]

Found in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique in damp litter on dark forest floors as a small sized mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with a tuberous rhizome giving rise to an erect, 3 or so flowered inflorescence.
