Common Name or Meaning The Javanese Gastrodia

Found in Taiwan, Thailand, Borneo, Java, Malaysia, Sumatra and the Philippines at elevations near sea level as a large sized, hot growing terrestrial with a fleshy and cylindrical rhizomegiving rise to a purple brown erect, to 2' [60 cm] long, 2 to 10 flowered inflorescence with triangular acute floral bracts.
