Found in Japan and Taiwan at elevations around 1800 meters as a mini-minature sized, cool growing epiphyte witha creeping stem enveloped completely by leaf bearing sheaths carrying ovate-elliptic to oblanceolate, acute to apiculate, fleshy, coriaceous,twisted and atriculated basally to the leaf sheaths, green and brown spotted, leaves that that blooms on a .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, few [3 to 4] flowered inflorescence.
