Common Name The Inconspicuous Gastrochilus

Found in the western Himalayas, Bangladesh, Assam, eastern Himalayas and Nepal at elevations of 200 to 700 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a terete, flexuous stem envelopd by red-brown leafless sheaths below and above carrying terete, straight to weakly curved, rugose-striate, dark green, sessile leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on various lateral, racemose, to .8" [2 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence
